FRENCH'S FINE WATCHES
The watchmaker of French's Fine Watches & Repair Shop specialized in timing devices for explosives. When Thornton and the DXS learned that Piedra, an international assassin, intended to buy timing devices there for his next hit, they arrested the watchmaker, and MacGyver took his place. The watchmaker refused to talk, but MacGyver found the devices hidden behind a secret panel in the back of a drawer.
When Piedra arrived, he brought along Eddie, a young boy, as part of his cover. He had promised Eddie that he could choose anything he wanted, and when Eddie selected a watch, Piedra bought it for him for $40. After Eddie left, Piedra turned to the business of selecting the timing devices he would need.
As MacGyver adjusted the devices in the back room, Piedra attempted to strangle him with a wire. The two fought violently, with considerable damage to the watch shop, until Thornton arrived from his surveillance van outside, knocked Piedra out, and took him into custody.
