SAWYER

Sawyer was a DXS agent working with Thornton on the Piedra case. Piedra, an international assassin and master of disguise, had been apprehended by the DXS and questioned in a room in the Mayfair Hotel.

Piedra had dozens of weapons hidden on his person, and although the agents were able to confiscate most of them, Piedra refused to talk. He was removed to a secure cell in a safe house where Sawyer, Connors, and two other agents guarded him. Meanwhile, MacGyver took Piedra's place and retrieved the instructions for Piedra's next hit, the assassination of Archbishop Fierro at St. Marcus Convent.

The agents believed that the assassination had been thwarted, but Piedra managed to escape from his cell and kill Sawyer and the other three DXS agents before making his way to the convent, where he was eventually killed.
