Thomas acted as one of the security guards in Jack Catlin's casino in the Virgin Islands. He and Wilson were frequently stationed in the video room, monitoring the feed from security cameras in various areas of the casino. When MacGyver used a wire hanger and a mirror to temporarily disable the video camera outside Catlin's penthouse, Thomas went to investigate. The camera had returned to normal by the time he arrived, but when MacGyver later deliberately triggered the alarm in order to summon security, Thomas again was sent to investigate while Wilson reported to Catlin in the casino.
