Mitchell had graduated from George Washington High School in Auburn, Kansas in 1987. Twenty years later, as the graduates gathered at the high school gymnasium for their reunion, a deejay provided entertainment by playing a selection of classic songs from Journey and other 80s icons on vinyl.
