PYRUS

King Pyrus the God-Slayer became the ruler of P3R-636 when he killed the Goa'uld who ruled there 700 years ago, and he continued to imitate the ways of the Goa'uld to prevent their return. He believed SG-1 to be spies and thieves, and sentenced them to work in the naquadah mines until death. When the sarcophagus could no longer extend his life, his daughter Shyla succeeded him.
